Wing House, Finchley, London

Budget: £50,000
Completion due: June 2011

The architecture and the furniture design were considered to be an essential part of the cohesive design of this project. The spatial configuration of the living spaces and attention to detail can be seen throughout the building. Our design successfully juxtaposes the old and new in a series of unique spatial relationships. We heightened the connection between the spaces by using the same materials from one space to the other. The timber cladding wall that wraps the utility room from the inside to the outside of the building is used as an external floor decking surface. The existing building and the side extension are unified by a London reclaimed stock brick wall.
