Refurbishment and two storey extension to end-of-terrace Victorian house

The building had originally been stripped of many period features and was in need of modernisation. Rather than masking the original characteristics with a modern surface, we created contemporary insertions that would connect to the restored features. The space on the ground floor is reconfigured by opening up and extending it to link the existing living area with the kitchen and rear garden. This created a new relationship between the house and garden.
